Tsessebe

also known as "Sassaby"

Tssessebe runs the fastest of all antelope species.  The sound they make is a snort.

They form small breeding herds, bachelor herds, and family groups and prefer open savannah and grasslands with adequate water.    Tssessebe are grazers. Their enemies are: spotted hyena, cheetah, lion, leopard, and the cape hunting dog.

Both males and females have horns.  Females are smaller than males. Average life span is approximately 15 years.
