Since South Africa lies in the southern hemisphere, seasons are reverse of those in the northern hemisphere. Days are usually mild to warm. However, the early mornings and evenings can be chilly, especially during the winter months of June, July, and August.
It can be cloudy in winter with very little rain in the Limpopo Province (formerly called Transvaal), but normally the sun shines an average of 8.5 hours per day, meaning a generally sunny climate year round for most of the country.
Antelope for Africa Safaris' hunting season is from April to October each year. It is possible to arrange hunts outside these dates if requested.
